While all the focus is on the series decider set to begin on Thursday (October 24) in Rawalpdini, one eye of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be on the white-ball tour against Australia. The Men in Green will travel Down Under for a series consisting of three ODIs and T20Is each.

The squad for both series is set to be announced soon, and all eyes will be on the announcement of the new captain after Babar Azam's resignation. A report by PTI has stated that star wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan is set to be handed charge of the Men in Green in ODI and T20Is.

Pakistan's Squad For Australia ODI and T20I Series

While Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah were dropped from the Test team before the second Test, all three are likely to make a comeback and retain their spots in the ODI and T20I squads, while it can be safely assumed Rizwan will lead the team.
Pakistan's last ODI and T20I outing was in the 2023 Cricket World Cup and 2024 T20 World Cup, respectively. No major changes are expected in the squads from both events.
As far as the ODI team is concerned, Imam-Ul-Haq is likely to be discarded, with a call-up for Saim Ayub expected. Meanwhile, Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir made a shock comeback for the T20 World Cup, but it will be a surprise if they continue playing for the national team.
Shadab Khan's form has been a major concern for the Pakistan cricket team, but he is likely to stay part of both teams, having won both the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Champions Cup as captain.
Hasan Ali replaced Naseem Shah in the ODI World Cup squad, but with the latter fit again, he is expected to regain his spot. However, Haris Rauf is set to get a call-up in both squads.
Mohammad Hasnain is likely to make a comeback, while wicket-keeper batter Haseebullah could also earn a call-up after being picked in the Test team.
Azam Khan's poor display for Pakistan leading upto the T20 World Cup means he is likely to miss out. It will be surprise if Mohammad Haris is not back in the scheme of things at least in T20Is .
