  • Rohit suffered a freak dismissal
Indian captian Rohit Sharma was dismissed by Ajaz Patel in the second innings of the 1st Test against New Zealand after making a stylish half-century at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in what will go down as one of the most unluckiest dismissal in history.
After India walked out to bat having conceded a massive 354-run lead, Rohit looked determined to ensure India are able to make a comeback in the match. The 37-year-old looked at his fluent best and reached his half-century in just 58 balls.
Looking set for a big one, fortune betrayed the Indian captain after he attempted to defend a delivery by Patel. While Rohit's defense seemed perfect, he lost track of the ball which rolled over and hit the stumps.
As the New Zealand players celebrated Rohit's dismissal, the right-handed batter was left in disbelief over his misforutune. The Indian captain was visibly heartbroken as he walked back to the dressing room.
