Emergency services have flocked to Sydney Airport following a "security incident" on board an Air New Zealand flight this afternoon, according to reports.
Flight NZ247 landed in Sydney from Wellington with 154 passengers and crew onboard around 5.40pm (7.40pm NZDT).
The plane was grounded on the tarmac while emergency services assessed the situation, 7News Sydney reports.
Air New Zealand's chief operational integrity and safety officer, captain David Morgan, told 9News in a statement they are "aware of a security incident" on the flight.
"We are working with the local authorities and following standard protocols established for such incidents," he said.
"The safety and security of all passengers and crew is our utmost priority."
Emergency services were stood down an hour later.
