Jonty Rhodes and his love for India is well known. He has named his daughter 'India' after the name of the country, and has also moved into Goa, where he stays for five to six months in a year. At the Indian Economic Conclave 2024, the legendary South African cricketer has named the one dish that has become his staple diet, and it is neither biryani nor butter chicken,

Our Staple Diet Is Palak Paneer And Rice: Jonty Rhodes

When Jonty Rhodes was asked what is favourite Indian food is, the legendary cricketer pointed out that he does not have one clear favorite. When he is in Goa he likes Goan Fish Curry. On the other hand, he looks for Laal Maas in Rajasthan, and loves to eat his biryani when he is in Hyderabad. However, the one dish that he and his wife have regularly is Palak Paneer. He even confessed that they have had palak paneer and rice for the last three months.
"It's no good for me looking for Goan Fish Cury in Rajasthan. There I'm going to eat Laal Maas. In Hyderabad, I'm going to have biryani. It'really is no pint for me to go this is my favourite. I think the one dish that is useful for my wife and me wherever we are is Palak paneer. oMost of the time in Goa it's hot. So we come out in the evening and eat dinner quite early.So our staple diet is palak paneer and rice for the last three months," Rhodes said.

Jonty Rhodes is currently the full-time fielding coach of the IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants. He also acts as the fielding coach of SA20 side Durban Super Giants. He is also the consultant fielding coach of the Sri Lanka national cricket team.
