Arjun Tendulkar, son of India legend Sachin Tendulkar, is plying his trade for Goa in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. The left-arm pacer made a strong comeback in Goa's playing XI and scalped 3 wickets against Odisha. He went wicketless in Goa's second game against Haryana. Arjun, who is part of Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL, has achieved a key career milestone in senior cricket.
Arjun completed 50 wickets in white-ball cricket during the game against Odisha. Arjun, who made his T20 debut for Mumbai in 2021, has 51 wickets in 41 white-ball matches. The left-arm pacer has dismissed 24 batters in 17 List A matches. He has 27 scalps in 24 T20s.
Arjun, who was re-signed by Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL 2025 mega-auction, has one four-fer each in both formats. He represented Mumbai in junior cricket before making it to the India U19 team. In the 2020/21 season, Arjun played senior cricket for Mumbai.
Before the 2022/23 season, the bowling all-rounder switched his base to Goa. He made his first-class and List A debuts for Goa. Arjun kicked off his red-ball career on a bright note and smashed a century on his debut.
Arjun has 37 wickets and 532 runs in 17 first-class matches. He has one five-fer in the Ranji Trophy. Sachin scalped 71 wickets in 310 first-class matches but he never took a five-fer in the format.
The Master Blaster did take 2 five-fers in ODIs. He finished his white-ball career with 201 wickets in List A cricket and 2 wickets in T20s.
Arjun Tendulkar to play for Mumbai Indians again
Arjun is set to be part of Mumbai Indians (MI) for the fifth season in a row. The five-time IPL Champions released him before the IPL 2025 mega-auction. They re-signed him during the final few minutes of the two-day event.
Arjun first joined MI in 2021 and made his IPL debut in 2023. He has played 5 matches in the T20 league. Arjun has 3 wickets for MI in IPL.
