Travis Head was bestowed with the Player of the Match award for his heroics against India in the 2nd Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The Australia vice-captain slammed 140 off just 141 balls as Australia put on a total of 337 in their first innings. Head slammed 4 sixes and 17 boundaries in his knock. He was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj.
Head has been enjoying a purple patch against India of late and he continued his form. His ton came in a winning cause and Australia will hope that he continues his form in the remainder of the series.

Travis Head created a world record en route to his 140-run knock. He became the first batsman in the world to score a century against India with pink, red and white balls.
Head scored his first ton with the red-ball against India in the final of the 2023 World Test Championship. He scored a brilliant 163 as Australia put on a total of 469 on the board. India lost the final by 209 runs.
Head's only ton against India with a white ball came in the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup final. His 137-run knock steered Australia to an easy win, which broke the hearts of millions of Indians. Head hasn't scored a century in T20Is.
Head has scored a total of 955 runs against India in 12 Tests. He has 345 runs in 9 ODIs and 255 runs in 8 T20Is against India. Head will have a crucial role to play in the remainder of the series.
India vs Australia series levelled
The India-Australia five-match Test series is levelled 1-1. India kicked off the series with a shocking win in Perth while Australia won the second Test match comfortably. Brisbane's Gabba will host the third Test match from December 14 to 18.
