Pakistan cricket team are going through a huge shake-up as after losing the 1st Test against England, the new selection committee was set up and star batter, Babar Azam was dropped from the Test series. The changes made paid off well as Pakistan under the captaincy of Shan Masood defeated England 2-1 in the 3-match series.
Before that Babar relinquished his captaincy and now Mohammad Rizwan has taken over the white-ball duties. The latest to leave the Pakistan camp is white-ball coach, Gary Kirsten. The former South African cricketer led India to an ODI World Cup triumph in 2011 and after over an year across the border, he has decided to call quits.
So after the 56-year old resigned from his post, an old tweet from ex India cricketer and legend, Harbhajan Singh has now gone viral on the social space.
The post was made back in June after the Men in Green were knocked out of the group stages of the T20 World Cup 2024.
"Don't waste ur time there Gary.. Come back to Coach Team INDIA. Gary Kirsten One of the rare gems. A great coach, mentor, friend to all in the 1202 team. Our winning coach of the 2011 World Cup. Special Man Gary @Gary_Kisten," he had written on X.
So just after his resignation, a fan took to social media to remind everyone what Bhajji told about the Pakistan team 4 months back. Reacting to the reminder, Harbhajan couldn't control his laughter and shared the post of the fan with a laughing emoji.
Even though Pakistan have returned to winning ways in their home ground, India on the other hand have lost a Test series at home against New Zealand 2-0 with a match to go.
This was India's first Test loss in 12 years in front of the home crowd.
