8 Wickets For 1 Run: Western Australia's Mighty Collapse Against Tasmania: Watch (Source: X)

Western Australia suffered one of the worst collapses in cricket history as they slipped from 52-2 to 53 all out in the Australia One-Day Cup match against Tasmania. Beau Webster was the chief destroyer for Tasmania as he picked six wickets. Pacer Billy Stanlake also chipped in with three wickets.
Western Australia lost the wicket of Cameron Bancroft at a team score of 52. At the same score, they lost Ashton Turner, Josh Inglis, and Hilton Cartwright. The team added one run to the score, courtesy of a wide from Ashton Agar, before they lost the remaining wickets. All of the last six players failed to open the account and were dismissed for ducks.
Tasmania had no trouble in chasing the modest target as they cruised to a win by seven wickets. Mitchell Owen played a crisp innings of 29 in 17 balls while Matthew Wade stayed unbeaten at 21.
The defeat was the third loss for Western Australia in the tournament as they slipped to sixth on the table. The team so far has managed to win just one game against Queensland. Meanwhile, this was the first win for Tasmania in the ongoing season. The team suffered a four-wicket defeat to Victoria in the first match before the second game against Queensland was washed out due to rain. The win over Western Australia took Tasmania to third place in the points table.
