KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- Noman Ali created history vs West Indies
- Noman took a hat-trick
- Pakistan lost by 120 runs
Noman Ali continued his red-hot form and was the star of the show for Pakistan in the second Test against West Indies at the Multan Cricket Stadium. After Kraigg Brathwaite won the toss and chose to bat first, the 38-year-old wreaked havoc over their batting unit.
Within the first hour of the match, West Indies found themselves at 38-7 with Noman doing the bulk of the damage. The left-arm spinner took a hat-trick in the 12th over of the match by dismissing Justin Greaves (1), Tevin Imlach (0) and Kevin Sinclair (0). Noman took a six-wicket haul as the West Indies were bowled out for 163 in the first session.
Noman Ali Creates History
Noman etched his name in the history books by becoming only the sixth bowler in history to take a hat-trick in Test cricket in the first session of play on the opening day of the match. The Pakistan star is only the second spinner in history to achieve the feat. The only other instance of a spin bowler taking a hat trick before lunch on Day 1 happened 141 years ago when Australia's Billy Bates achieved the feat in 1883 against England at the MCG. Noman is the first player since Irfan Pathan in 2006 to complete the rare feat. The Indian is the only bowler in history to take a hat-trick in the first over of a Test match.

Noman is the first Pakistan spinner in history to take a hat-trick in Test cricket and only the sixth player from the country overall to complete the remarkable feat. He is also the second-oldest player (38 years, 139 days days) to get to the milestone after Rangana Herath (38 years, 110 days).
However, Noman's effort went in vain as West Indies registered a 120-run victory to register their first Test match win on Pakistan soil.
