Padel has managed to attract attention in India and the recently concluded FIP Promotion India Padel Open proved to be a major success. FIP Promotion India Padel Open kicked off at Bennett University on November 21 and culminated on November 24. This was the first event organised by the International Padel Federation.
Organised by Padel League Private Limited, a subsidiary of PTL Sports Group, with support from The Times Group, the tournament was a landmark event for the sport in India. With international athletes from Spain, Japan, France, and Iran competing alongside Indian talent, the tournament was a showcase of skill and sportsmanship.
Chaitanya and Vikram Shah also took part in the tournament and had a thrilling start as they went all the way to the semifinal. But the French pairing of Arthur Hugounenq and Thomas Seux proved too much for the Indian duo and they lost the match 6-0, 6-2.
