India are currently taking on Australia in the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at iconic Gabba Cricket Ground in Brisbane. All eyes will be on Virat Kohli to see whether he returns to form after a dismal game at Adelaide. However, much before he will come out to bat in the second innings of the game, Kohli has showed his typical expression of aggression when he was on the field, as India were bowling in the first innings. This time it was the unruly Australian crowd who was at the receiving end of Kohli's aggression.
The Australian crowd at Gabba were constantly at loggerheads with the Indian players right from the start of the game, as was evident when they booed Mohammed Siraj on Day 1 in response to his heated argument with Travis Head in the second Test. Virat Kohli had the perfect reply to this unruly Australian crowd, as he caught the ball at slips when Marnus Labuschagne edged a delivery from Nitish Kumar Reddy.
After taking the catch, Virat Kohli turned towards the Australian crowd, with a finger on his lips. This was a gesture that asked the crowd to silence after the continuous banter with the Indian players.

Travis Head Century Puts India On Backfoot

Day 1 of the Test match was ashed out after just 80 balls were bowled, with rain setting in at Brisbane. On Day 2, India began on a strong note, as Jasprit Bumrah dismissed both openers Nathan McSweeney and Usman Khawaja early. Marnus Labuscghagne then gave his wicket away to Nitish Reddy.
After that, it was the Travis Head and Steve Smith show as the Indian bowlers have struggled to take wickets. Head continues to be a headache for India, as he smashed his second consecutive hundred in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024. Steve Smith also slammed a fifty, and the two remain unbeaten on a century stand as tea was taken on Day 2.
