Shaheen Afridi wrote his name in the history books by setting a massive world record during the 1st T20 between Pakistan and South Africa on Tuesday (December 10) at the Kingsmead Stadium in Durban with a stunning spell that saw him take three wickets and give away just 22 runs in four overs.
Shaheen set the tone with the ball for Pakistan with the wicket of Rassie van der Dussen in the first over of the match. Later, he returned to dismiss David Miller in the second spell, who was threatening to take the game away from the visitors with an incredible knock of 82 in just 40 balls. On his last ball of the match, Shaheen trapped Nqabayomzi Peter in front of the stumps.
Peter's dismissal was the 100th T20I wicket of Shaheen's career. The left-arm pacer has become the third Pakistan bowler after Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf to achieve the milestone.
