Pakistan To Host Entire Champions Trophy? Wasim Akram Comes Up With HUGE Claim Amid Uncertainty. (Photo: AP/PTI)

The uncertainty regarding the Champions Trophy is far from over. BCCI has already made their intentions clear with the ICC that the Indian Cricket Team won't be travelling to Pakistan to take part in the marquee event next year.
The Pakistan Cricket Board had already prepared a draft schedule and February 19 was supposed to be the start of the Champions Trophy. But with India's refusal, the entire schedule announcement has gone for a toss and it remains to be seen how things fare in the next few weeks.
A hybrid model has reportedly been accepted by both the PCB and BCCI and it has also been agreed that all tournaments played in India till 2027 will have a hybrid model in place.
Recently Wasim Akram made a surprising appearance at a Coke Studio event in Dubai. Although ICC hasn't made anything official the former Pakistan fast bowler was relatively confident that the entire tournament will be hosted by his country next year.
As quoted by NDTV he said, "I would like to thank everyone. Your passion is typical Pakistani passion. This is the Champions Trophy which is happening in Pakistan. Pakistan is ready to host the Champions Trophy".
The latest promo has also been released by the official broadcaster but the video clipping also doesn't mention Pakistan as the host of the Champions Trophy.
Earlier an ICC source told PTI, "It's been agreed in principle by all parties that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be held in the UAE and Pakistan, with India playing its matches in Dubai. It's a win-win situation for all stakeholders.”
If ICC officially declares the Champions Trophy to be conducted in a hybrid model, India's matches are most likely to be held in Dubai next year.
