MS Dhoni is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the Indian cricketing circle in history. However, despite 5 years since he retired, he still continues to make the headlines. Recently, he topped an elite list, and beat the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan to achieve a momentous feat.

According to a report by TAM Media Research, a joint venture between USA’s Nielsen and UK’s Kantar, MS Dhoni is the Indian celebrity who has bagged the most number of brand endorsements in 2024. He has had a total of 42 endorsements. Amitabh Bachchan is second on the list with 41 endorsements, while Shah Rukh Khan ranks third with 34 deals to his name.
In an interaction with News18, a renowned brand strategy expert said that MS Dhoni is considered to be more than just a cricketer or sports personality. He attracts more brands because of his cool demenaour and non-controversial persona.
"In cricket, you’re only as good as your last three matches. Dhoni defies that theory. He is considered to be more than just a cricketer or a sports personality. He represents an attitude and, hence, is a darling of brands. This is because of his sobriety, cool demeanour, and non-controversial persona," he said.
When Will MS Dhoni Be In Action Next?
MS Dhoni will next be seen in action for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2025. The franchise retained him ahead of the IPL auction as a uncapped player for Rs 4 crore.
Dhoni qualified as an uncapped played because he has been retired from international cricket for more than five years. Dhoni is CSK's primary wicketkeeper-batter and most certain to feature in the playing XI for the franchise throughout the season.
