A man has died after being struck by a car in Auckland this evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Lanham Ln in Massey around 6.50pm, police said.

A man died at the scene.

The serious crash unit is in attendance and police are making inquiries.

Members of the public have been asked to avoid the area.
