Sanju Samson confirmed for South Africa tour
There is no doubt that Sanju Samson has punched his ticket for the T20I series against South Africa. There would have been doubts over his place had he failed in the third T20I. Samson got a good start in the series opener but departed for 29. He only managed to score 10 runs in the second game.
The team management backed Samson and gave him another chance. The opening batsman made sure that he lived up to the expectations. Samson is now confirmed to tour South Africa. He could be joined by Ishan Kishan on the tour as the backup wicketkeeper. Kishan has made his return to the Ranji Trophy and he could be handed an India call-up for the first time in 2024.
