Not Rohit Sharma! Laura Wolvaardt Names THIS Indian Star As Her Favourite- WATCH (Photo credit: ICC)

South Africa women's cricket team skipper Laura Wolvaardt has admitted that Virat Kohli is her favourite cricketer. She is taking part in the ongoing Women's T20 World Cup, where the Proteas have played three games, winning two and sitting in second place in their group.
In a conversation with ICC, Wolvaardt was presented with a throwback picture featuring Kohli. She is leading the 2023 runners-up Proteas in the tournament and are one win away from a spot in the semifinals.
South Africa thrashed 2016 champions Windies in their opening game by 10 wickets but then lost to England by seven wickets. They came back well to thrash Scotland by 80 runs.
"My favourite player", Wolvaardt commented, upon being handed the picture and asked to sign. Watch the video here:
Wolvaardt has been leading South Africa from the front, with her bat doing the talking as ever. She has scored 141 runs in three matches at a stunning average of 70.5. Her strong starts have been one of the biggest positives for the Proteas and she would be crucial for her team's chances of winning a maiden World Cup title if they qualify for the semifinals.
With South Africa searching for a big victory over Scotland to improve their net run rate, Wolvaardt scored 47 off 27 in the chase, hitting five boundaries and a six. They are currently in second position in Group B with four points from three matches and an NRR of 1.52.
Meanwhile, Kohli played in a two-match Test series against Bangladesh at home last month. Although he didn't have a great outing in the first match, scoring just six and 17 in two innings, he bounced back in the second game.
Kohli scored a quickfire 47 off 35 deliveries in the first innings and finished on an unbeaten 29 off 37 in the second, helping India whitewash Bangladesh.
