Not Rohit Sharma Or Virat Kohli! Sourav Ganguly Names Trump Card For India In Border-Gavaskar Trophy

India are all set to play a series of 8 more Test matches in the run-up to qualify for the final of the World Test Championship in 2025 for a third straight time. Their biggest Test will ome against Australia when the travel Down Under to compete for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in a five-match series. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be two of the most important players for Team India in the series. However, former India captain Sourav Ganguly has named a totally different player as the trump card for India in the series.
Rishabh Pant Will Be India's Trump Card: Sourav Ganguly
In an interaction with OneIndia, former India captain Sourav Ganguly said that Rishabh Pant is an outstanding player in Tests, and he will be India's trump card for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Rishabh Pant recently made his comeback to Test Cricket after 634 days against Bangladesh, and even slammed a century in the first Test of the Series.
"He [Rishabh Pant] is an outstanding player in Tests. He will be India's trump card for the series," Ganguly said.
Sourav Ganguly also said that India's series against AUstralia starting in Nivember, and the tour to England after the WTC final will be the two most crucial series for the team. He also thought India would comfortably beat New Zealand in the upcoming three-match series.
