Rasikh Salam will play for RCB in 2025

Jammu and Kashmir pacer Rasikh Salam was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 6 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction on Sunday. The 24-year-old entered the pool at base price of Rs 30 lakh. After RCB and the Sunrisers Hyderbad engaged in some intense bidding, Delhi Capitals decided to use their right-to-match (RTM). However, the outfit backed out after Bangalore set Salam's price at Rs 6 crore.
The J&K speedster shot to fame when he was picked by the Mumbai Indians in the 2019 auction. He became only the third cricketer from India's north-most state to get an IPL contract. Rasikh Salam made his debut vs the Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium that year, becoming the yougest player to play for MI. He then joined the the Kolkata Knight Riders before being roped in by the Capitals in 2024.

For DC, Salam played eight games and picked up nine wickets.
Who Is Rasikh Salam?
Rasikh Salam is a right-arm fast bowler from Jammu and Kashmir. He was picked by the Mumbai Indians in 2019 after some impressive performances in domestic cricket, making his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

He faced a brief suspension due to an age discrepancy issue and made a comeback in 2022 with the Kolkata Knight Riders. Salam made his List A debut for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2018. He made his first-class debut for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy in December 2018.
