England are currently taking on Pakistan in the first Test of the three-match series at the Multan International Cricket Stadium, and the visitors have looked in expectational form throughout the game. Pakistan, who are on a horror run in the longest format, has continued their poor show, as the England batters have decimated them on the flat Multan track. By virtue of their explosive batting in the Test match, the England team has managed to create history, by achieving a feat that no other team has matched before in history.
England Become First Team To Achieve HUGE Feat
After Pakistan slammed 556 in the first innings, the England batters went all guns blazing in the second innings. It was the Harry Brook and Joe Root show as both batters scored their career-best individual scores, helping England score a mammoth 823/7. This is the third time that England has scored an 800+ total, becoming the first team ever to do so.

England's highest Test total is 903/7 against Australia in 1938, followed by 849 against West Indies in 1930. This 823/7 is England's third-highest Test Cricket total. In fact, three of the top four scores in Test Cricket history has been scored by England
This total is also the highest-ever by a team against Pakistan in Test Cricket, beating West Indies'758/3 in 1958 at Kingston.
Harry Brook, Joe Root Create History
Harry Brook was the star of the show as England posted 823/7 in the second innings. He slammed his first triple century in international cricket, slamming 317 from 322 balls. This was the second fastest triple century in the history of Test Cricket.
He stitched a 454-run stand for the fourth wicket alongside Joe Root. This was the highest partnership for any wicket by England in Test Cricket, and also the highest partnership in the longest format against Pakistan.
Joe Root also slammed 262, his highest individual score in Tests. He also became the first player to score 5000 runs in WTC history.
