'Maybe It's God's Plan': Rinku Singh-Nitish Reddy Reveal Conversation During Match-Winning Partnership (Photo credit: BCCI)

Rookie India allrounder Nitish Reddy has revealed that Rinku Singh told him that maybe God plans to make the two of them build a match-winning partnership for the team and the duo believed in that mantra to move forward. He added that some fine words from Rinku motivated him to get out of his shell and unleash his attacking mode.
Reddy was playing on 12 runs off 11 balls at the end of the 12th over. He slowly upped his ante and smacked the Bangladesh bowlers all around the park and played a match-winning innings in just his second international outing.
Reddy smacked two successive fours off Mahmudullah before hitting consecutive sixes off Rishad Hossain in the 10th over. He departed for 74 runs scored off just 34 deliveries, a knock laced with seven sixes and four fours.
“The conversation between us was he said, 'Maybe it's God's plan.' We just believed it and started hitting the balls. When we saw that the spinner came into the attack, we decided to take him. Rinku took a single and gave me the strike and I decided to go after him saying it was my time," Reddy said while speaking to BCCI.
During his innings, Reddy shared a 108-run stand with Rinku for the fourth wicket to recover India from 41/3. The latter praised Reddy for playing a brilliant innings in just his second T20I, that also under pressure. Rinku expressed gratitude for his fifty as well.
“I just said to him it's God's plan bro. Just leave it onto God and we'll see and he started hitting it. He has batted well in his only second T20I game," Rinku said.
“This is my third 50 and it comes again at a time when wickets have fallen quickly for the team. Since I started playing for India, we have won all the series I have been a part of. So, I just wish to be a part of this side for a long time and we keep winning," Rinku added.
