Former Indian captains Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly expressed their grief after the sad demise of Ratan Tata. Both the legendary cricketers shared pictures with Bharat's 'Ratan' while paying heartfelt tributes to the former chairman of Tata Group.

Ganguly hailed the spirit of Ratan Tata, saying that he had a heart that used to beat not only for profits but for the well-being of the people of India.
Tendulkar also shed light on the legendary figure's much-known love for animals, and his empathy towards those who didn't have the means to take care of themselves.
"In his life, and demise, Mr Ratan Tata has moved the nation. I was fortunate to spend time with him, but millions, who have never met him, feel the same grief that I feel today. Such is his impact," wrote Sachin Tendulkar on X.
"From his love for animals to philanthropy, he showed that true progress can only be achieved when we care for those who don’t have the means to take care of themselves. Rest in peace, Mr Tata. Your legacy will continue to live through the institutions you built and values that you embraced," he added further.
Ganguly shared a picture from the early days of his playing career, as he stood beside Ratan Tata.
"It is with a heavy heart that I share my condolences on the passing of Mr. Ratan Tata. For me, this is a deeply personal loss. While his business acumen and vision were beyond extraordinary, it was the kindness and humility he embodied that left an indelible mark on me," wrote the former BCCI president.
"Ratan Tata was truly one in a million—an unmatched leader, a revolutionary in industry, and yet, someone who remained grounded and generous through it all. His brilliance as a businessman pales only in comparison to the man he was—humble, empathetic, and always forward-thinking, with a heart that beat for people, not just profits," Sourav Ganguly hailed Ratan Tata.
He wrote further, "Though we have lost an icon, what feels more profound is losing the essence of the person he was. His wisdom, compassion, and ability to bring positive change to the lives of millions will continue to inspire us. Rest in peace, Mr. Tata. Your impact will forever be felt, and your spirit will continue to guide us."
